Northport Wellness Alliance Member, Tammy Chaimov, M.S.CCC-SLP, TSSLD, OMT  is the founder of Long Island Speech & Myo. Tammy is a New York State licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist.

After working with the pediatric population for several years, it became evident to Tammy that children with the most severe speech, language, and cognitive difficulties also presented with underdeveloped facial structures, poor eating habits, behavioral and sleep difficulties and reduced attentiveness and energy. These difficulties can be often traced back to a child's sleep quality, feeding history and oral motor experiences. These challenges then lead to pain that adults unknowingly experience later in life, such has jaw pain, migraines, and often facial pain.
 
Tammy quickly discovered her interest and passion for addressing the root causes to her clients' challenges—that is how Long Island Speech & Myo was born. 
 
Tammy works with children and adults of all ages as one of the members of a multi-disciplinary team (dentists, orthodontists, osteopaths) that successfully treats orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMD).

When Tammy is not at the office, she loves to learn about and cook different cuisines and carry over much of what she practices professionally. Tammy enjoys living a holistic life style with her husband and two daughters.
