Jacqueline Luna-Knapp, licensed acupuncturist and founder of New Moon Health, was born into a family of island herbalists and shamans. She came to natural medicine later in life while spending almost 30 years studying many different forms of traditional and alternative medicines and found Chinese Medicine to be the most consistent, most holistic and the most powerful form of medicine to promote harmony and healing in our bodies.

Jackie's specialty is working with children using a practical method which she honed while aiding in the health of her children. Jackie is passionate about the power of Chinese Medicine and loves being able to treat people of all ages using an art unequaled to any other. She has worked to educate a new generation of practitioners in her former role as a professor of Pediatrics in Chinese Medicine and Oncology in Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in New York City.

Jackie obtained a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and earned her Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from PCOM. She is board-certified as a Diplomat of Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique.
